A MOCKED up car crash will help drum home the don't drink/drug drive message at Market Place, Evesham on Saturday between 1pm and 4pm.

The hard-hitting demonstration will show shoppers how the fire and ambulance services deal with the aftermath of a crash - and the police deal with people driving under the influence.

There will also be a photo booth stand to get people involved with West Mercia's campaign by dressing up in police or firefighter's uniform and hold up messages of support.

Drivers will also be asked to sign a pledge board promising never to get behind the wheels if they have been drinking or taking drugs.

It is a number of events being run across Worcestershire during the festive period which aims to protect the public and prevent harm by educating the public about the risks of drink/drug driving.
