A PEDESTRIAN who was knocked down in Worcester's City Walls Road yesterday evening, Thursday, at just after 4.30pm, is making a good recovery.
The 35-year-old male was in collision with a car near Kwik Fit and was taken to Worcester Royal Hospital with head and pelvic injuries.
City Walls Road was closed for approximately two hours while the ambulance service attended the scene, causing traffic problems along the connecting roads. The road was re-opened at around 6.35pm.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police this morning said an update on the man's condition at 9.30pm last night was that his injuries were no longer deemed life-threatening and he was being treated for a laceration to the head and a suspected broken toe.
