BUDDING bakers took part in a festive competition to impress judges with their culinary prowess.
At St Peter's First School's Christmas Market on Friday, December 4, eager cake-makers battled it in out The Great St Peter's Bake Off for the coveted title of champion baker.
After a tough judging process led by the Reverend Beverley Jameson, Melissa Jackson, from Droitwich, won in the adult category for her snowflake-covered creation.
And St Peter's year four pupil Bruno, eight, scooped the children's prize for his jolly Christmas tree-shaped cake.
Nicola Faning, who organised the market with Kerri Moore, said: "It’s a great way to get adults and children baking and cooking in the kitchen."
Entries were submitted for judging on Friday, and once the Rev. Jameson had made her choice, the cakes were auctioned off to help raise money for the school.
