A CHRISTINGLE service complete with carols and Christmas treats is set to be held in Salwarpe this weekend.
On Sunday, December 13 from 4pm, the Reverend Beverley Jameson will lead the family service at St Michael’s Church in Salwarpe.
Rev Jameson, team vicar Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree, said: "Christingle is a wonderful service in a beautiful church and really gets everyone into the Christmas spirit."
There will be well-loved carols sung and lessons on the meaning behind Christingle, followed by tea and mince pies after the service.
It will be the first of the church's Christmas services, followed by midnight Holy Communion on Christmas Eve starting at 11.15pm, and a 10am Christmas Day Communion Service at St Michael's and All Angels Martin Hussingtree.
