HEREFORD and Worcester Fire Service are reminding people to not leave Christmas tree lights on overnight, and ensure they are fire safe, by tweeting a shocking video.
As Worcestershire residents put up trees and decorations in their homes, the service want people to check their lights are safe. The video tweeted by the HWFire account was released by the Fire Kills Campaign and shows how a Christmas tree can become a fireball in a just a few seconds.
It is advised to check lights are in a good condition, to always turn them off before going to bed, and to ensure candles do not go anywhere near Christmas trees or other decorations.
