A DEVASTATED cat owner is offering a reward for the return of their aptly named feline Chaos that went missing after climbing into a supermarket delivery van near Bromyard.

Tersia Geldenhuys Van Vuuren, husband Ben and their children, 10-year-old Luka, and Grace, seven, have been frantically looking for the male brown spotted cat after he went missing on Wednesday, November 25.

The family have been searching around their home on Bringsty Common, close to Bromyard, but it emerged a week later, after speaking to a Tesco delivery driver, that the Bengal cat had in fact climbed into one of the company's vans.

It was spotted running away when it stopped for a delivery in Winchester Avenue, Worcester.

Tersia said she was disappointed the driver, or anybody from Tesco, failed to contact them to say the cat escaped from the van, as she said it was a week wasted searching near their home.

After making an appeal on social media and putting up posters, Tersia said there had been some hope as she had received an email saying the cat had been spotted in Dines Green last Wednesday.

Tersia said: "If a cat goes missing it can be upsetting, but it has just been worse knowing he was transported to another area of Worcester.

"We got him when my daughter was about two-years-old and from day one it was absolute 'Chaos'.

"He's never done anything like this before, although he's been known to be very nosey. I have been walking up and down streets calling 'Chaos'.

"We are offering a reward of £250 to anyone who helps return him to us."

Ben added although Chaos' adventure had left the family extremely distraught, they still hope they will find him.

A Tesco spokesman said: "The Worcester store manager is aware of this incident and is investigating with the driver concerned.

"The store has apologised to the family and will be putting up posters around the local area to assist with the search.”

The spokesman added Tesco is also offering a £50 gift card to the person who helps return the cat.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 01885 482795 or email tersiajvv@gmail.com.
