DROITWICH MP Nigel Huddleston reflected on his first six months in Parliament at a meeting in Droitwich.
At a meeting of the Droitwich Spa Business Forum on Friday night, the Mid Worcestershire MP spoke to guests gathered at Gaudet Luce Golf Club about a variety of topics including Syria.
Mr Huddleston said: "I really enjoyed meeting with local business and charity leaders at the Droitwich Spa Business Forum. Such events always make me appreciate the diversity of local business.
"I took the opportunity to chat with local entrepreneurs before the meeting and discussed issues such as business rates, VAT and apprenticeships.
"I shared experiences from my first six months in Parliament and took questions ranging from planning issues to Syria to the challenges of social media."
On the night Richard Whittall of the King George V Sports Association discussed how Droitwich businesses can get involved in local sport.
Also on the agenda was Droitwich's Christmas programme, along with updates on various groups in the town including the food bank, town council, Brine Heritage Charity and tourism.
