BRIDES-to-be on a budget need soon look no further than a Worcester charity shop for wedding gowns.
St Richard's Hospice is planning to set up a bridal wear department in its Mealcheapen Street shop and is urging people to donate their wedding dresses and wedding outfits.
The shop will specialise in second-hand wedding wear, including gowns, outfits for bridesmaids and mothers of the bride, shoes and hats.
Dan Corns, hospice shops and commercial director, said: "This is the ultimate in recycling. So many ladies must have their wedding outfits hanging in their wardrobes, but by giving them to St Richard's they can raise money for a very good cause and make someone else's day by allowing them to buy a gorgeous dress at a bargain price."
Anyone who would like to donate wedding wear can take it to the shop or phone 01905 763963.
St Richard's moved into its £5.25 million hospice at Wildwood Drive, Worcester. At the end of last year.
It needs to raise £3.2 million each year to keep providing the ongoing specialist care and support for patients with life-threatening illnesses.
