MUSICAL students from two Worcestershire County Council day centres are taking centre stage at an upcoming concert.

The event, Good Vibrations, held at Worcester Rugby Club, will feature a variety of traditional and contemporary music ranging from solo to reggae, folk, blues and rock and roll.

Professional musician Ray Mytton teaches music to people in Worcester with learning disabilities at the Perryfields Day Centre and Cherry Orchard Day Centre in Worcester.

They will be showing off their musical skills and putting what they have learnt into practice.

Ray writes and performs his own music with his band, Zen Archeray. He will be joined by a host of local musicians performing with the students.

Tickets cost £5 for the event, which is on Saturday, June 23, from 7pm-11pm and are available from the Cherry Orchard Day Centre on 01905 764700 or the Perryfields Day Centre on 01905 355529. Alternatively, e-mail sgarvey@worcestershire.gov.uk.

Proceeds from the event will go towards funding the creation of a dedicated music room at the two day centres.
