Ten Defra employees have each won a £10 national book token after winning a Worcestershire County Council-run competition.
The staff, based at the Defra offices on Whittington Road, Worcester, scooped the prize after entering the Choose How You Move car-share contest, earlier in the year.
The competiton was aimed at encouraging businesses to sign up to the free Worcestershire car-share database.
The organisation with the highest number of employees registered on the database in February and March won a £10 national booktoken for each person registered.
Simon Whitehead, marketing and communiations officer, said: "Car-sharing is a great way to reduce traffic congestions and save money and for many employers it offers a simple solution to solving car park problems.
"If we all make the effort, we can significantly reduce the number of cars on our roads."
The Worcestershire car-share database is free for employers to join and once registered, employees can sign up and find their perfect car share partners. Joining the car share database can form a key component of a travel plan which can improve profitability, reduce absenteeism and increase productivity.
