WORCESTER News delivery boys have been rewarded for their dedication with fantastic prizes.

Paper boys and girls were asked to spot pictures of Easter eggs in windows during their rounds and answer questions about their jobs.

Fifteen-year-old Joe Elson, of Warndon Villages, Worcester, came first, winning a Nintendo Wii - a state of the art games console.

Jac Taylor, aged 13, of St John's, Worcester and 14-year-old Andrew Fowler, of Wyld's Lane, Worcester, were runners up, winning £20 of Argos vouchers each. Joe was thrilled to win first prize. "I just felt so shocked when it arrived because I thought I had no chance of winning it," he said.

"Before Christmas I wondered if I would get one for Christmas, because they are quite expensive."

Newspaper sales manager Mark Chandler said this competition was one of many incentives for delivery boys and girls.

"We are going to be doing lots more competitions through the summer," he said. Anyone interested in delivering the Worcester News can call 01905 742333.

Applicants need to be aged 13 or over.
