RISING water levels on the River Severn have submerged Lock One of the Droitwich Barge Canal.
The Canal and Rivers Trust (CRTS) tweeted it is "not possible" to travel from the river onto the canal, while a flood warning from the Environment Agency remains in place today (Friday).
CRTS Wales and Severn tweeted two pictures of the lock on Friday afternoon, completely immersed in floodwater.
It said: "Due to high water it is not possible to travel from the River onto the Droitwich Canal This is where lock1 should be."
It then followed its first tweet with a second which said: "Can you help. We are looking for Lock1 on the Droitwich Barge Canal. Last seen 2pm this afternoon."
Lock One, named Hawford Bottom, lies close to the A449. The canal winds its way through Ladywood and Salwarpe before reaching Droitwich and then continuing to meet the Worcester and Birmingham Canal.
