THE Mayor and Mayoress of Worcester were treated to a performance of the Rocky Horror Show.

The show was put on by users of Worcester Day Services, also known as Cherry Orchard Day Centre, which caters for people with learning difficulties.

The show was created by members of the centre's drama group and rehearsals have been ongoing since July.

Mayor of Worcester Roger Knight said: "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

"It was an absolute delight.

"It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves so much.

"There were smiles from ear to ear.

"Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and put a lot of hard work into delivering it and it came across very well."

John Richards, who runs the drama group, said: "We are a day centre for people with learning difficulties and I thought we'd give them a go at it.

"We are a drama group that meet once a week along with people from another day centre, Malvern SEC (Social Education Centre).

"What we get is a lot of enthusiasm."

The group put on two performances on Wednesday, November 25 and Wednesday, December 2.
