THE festive fight against drink and drug driving continues in earnest with an arrest this morning in Droitwich.
Officers from team C of West Mercia Police's Operations Patrol Unit arrested someone for drug driving at 6am after they tested positive for cannabis.
They have since been taken to the station.
South Worcestershire police commander Supt Kevin Purcell said drink drivers may ask police "haven't you lot got anything better to do than drink drivers?" but the answer from his officers was "lots, so don't drink and drive!"
Only last Friday a drink driver ignored the police drink drive campaign launch and drove through the metal perimeter fence of Worcester Racecourse.
He also had no licence and no insurance.
