UP TO 100 city centre car parking spaces will be temporarily lost for the council to carry out a ground survey.
From Monday the eastern end of Cattle Market Car Park, adjacent to Croft Walk, Worcester, will be closed for about three days. The closure will enable Worcestershire County Council to undertake essential ground surveys relating to proposed work for the new university and public library.
The city council has apologised for any inconvenience caused and pointed out that alternative car parking will still be available at Croft Road and Pitchcroft/The Moors.
The closure, expected to effect between 80 and 100 of the 320 spaces, will not affect traffic which will still be able to exit and enter The Butts in the normal manner.
The Cattle Market Car Park is due to be fully re-opened by Thursday.
