A PASSIONATE six-piece latin jazz band are performing in Droitwich.

Quiver, based in Birmingham, is led by Casey Greene, who first conceived the idea of a latin jazz outfit almost 10 years ago in Sydney, Australia.

"I wanted to create music that combines my two passions of Latin American rhythms and jazz harmony," he said.

The Australian band performed throughout clubs and at numerous festivals in Sydney.

After moving to the UK, Greene assembled his new band in 2005. Since then, it has been performing throughout the Midlands, at the Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Shrewsbury Summer Season Festival.

Tomorrow night the band will perform at the Norbury Theatre, Droitwich, as part of its ongoing Jazz Spotlight Series.

The intoxicating mix of rhythm, melody and harmony is guaranteed to get people on their feet and dancing.

The band's debut CD, Cous Cous, is being relaunched at the show. For tickets call the Norbury box office on 01905 770154.
