THEIR song is currently selling cider and next week they will playing live in Worcester.

Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent of The Zombies, whose song Time Of The Season is currently being featured in the advertising campaign for Magners Cider, are performing at the Swan Theatre on Tuesday, May 22.

Founding member Argent, who last summer joined former Beatle Ringo Starr on tour in America, explains why the band got back on the road.

"Ever since the Zombies split up in 1967, we have always resisted reforming. On many occasions we've been offered a lot of money - imagine, for instance, the situation in 1969 when Time Of The Season was number one in the charts - but we have always wanted to look forward, and it has always seemed wrong to get back together again simply to make a quick buck."

Modern musicians including Badly Drawn Boy and Super Furry Animals have cited The Zombies as major influences and Tom Petty once said if a band like them existed today, they would rule the world.
