A MOBILE bus for the blind will be stopping off in Worcestershire next week.

The bus will be packed full of information about the latest aids and equipment as well as offering specialist advice for blind and partially-sighted people.

The Sight Loss bus will be open between 10am and noon in Priory Road South car park in Malvern on Thursday, and in Hanley Road car park in Upton-upon-Severn between 2pm and 4pm the same day. The bus is being opened to people by the Worcestershire Association for the Blind, which provides support for blind and partially sighted people.

Rhian Thompson, of Worcester-shire Association for the Blind, said everybody is welcome on board the bus. "Whether you are visually impaired or know someone who may be having problems with their sight, it's a great opportunity to find out more about what is available to help," she said.

"Visitors to the mobile can try out a wide range of daily living aids or the latest computer and magnification technology."

The mobile will be manned by a team of charity workers from the association.
