* A PERSHORE artist is currently exhibiting work in his home town.

Rob Kirbyson, aged 42, is displaying acrylics at Pershore's Number 8 Community Arts Centre until Thursday, May 31.

Finding inspiration in the forms and patterns around us, Kirbyson also studies the way in which other cultures do the same.

"In the developed world we have largely lost touch with our environment and seem indifferent to its destruction in the name of progress," he says.

* A CONTROVERSIAL farce about the death of a man in police custody is being performed in a Worcester pub.

A production of Dario Fo's Accidental Death Of An Anarchist is being performed by the Worcester Pub Theatre company at The Albion, Bath Road, on Saturday night.

The political comedy, based on real events when a suspect fell to his death from the fourth floor of police headquarters in Milan, is also being performed at Worcester Arts Workshop tonight. Balancing weighty political issues with laugh-out-loud comedy, the play contains strong language. Tickets are £5 on the door.
