PEOPLE living near a petrol station are calling for boy racers who gather there late at night to be stopped.
They are fed up of being kept awake by up to 15 cars full of passengers meeting at the Total petrol station in Worcester Road, Droitwich.
Despite a number of requests for the garage to take action, they say nothing has been done and the problem is getting worse.
So far police have also been unable to control the situation, according to one nearby homeowner.
Roy Fitter, who lives in Worcester Road, said: "People are intimidated. It is an on-going problem in Droitwich that has got worse at the Total garage in recent weeks.
"I have spoken with the police and with the manager of the garage, but nothing has been done.
"I want the garage to acknowledge there is a problem and action to be taken.
"They have been moved on from other places and have now come here.
"On one occasion there must have been nearly 16 cars. Some even stop and meet there at 1am."
Mr Fitter has seen the youngsters smoking and drinking alcohol outside the petrol station.
"Why do we have to suffer on the weekends?
"I should not have to stand there in the early hours and argue with groups of lads.
"The problem needs to stop because it is effecting the quality of life for people who live here."
A spokesman for Droitwich police said: "Initially, the substantial gathering of vehicles on petrol forecourts is a matter for the staff and management. In this instance, we have discussed with the management if there is anything more they can do to minimise or stop this situation. We will continue to monitor it.
"When, however, complaints are made to the police about noise, what is considered to be unsafe driving or anti-social behaviour we investigate them.
"We have obtained the registration numbers of vehicles known to have been congregating on the forecourt on Sunday nights and will be writing to the registered owners. We have a number of draconian measures - including seizing cars - available to us in dealing with such situations before, but are hopeful of a positive response from the letters."
A spokesman for Total said: "We are fully co-operating with the police."
