A MEETING to discuss building a controversial recycling plant near Worcester will be held on Tuesday, June 12.
Worcestershire county councillors will debate whether to approve an application by Mercian Waste Services.
The firm wants to build a recycling centre in Norton's Woodbury Lane capable of handling 105,000 tonnes of material annually from homes in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
It is the only item on the agenda of the 10am meeting.
The proposal was expected to be discussed by the county council's planning and regulatory committee in December but has been deferred three times after both council officers and the applicant asked for time.
The proposal is unpopular with people living nearby, police and various councils.
This week, the action group fighting the application issued an appeal for money to help its campaign.
Last month the Worcester News revealed Norton-Juxta-Kempsey Parish Council would pay £30,000 towards costs should the J7-Waste Action Group decide to mount a legal challenge.
Now the group has urged members of the public to make donations, which will be used to fund a judicial review if the council approves the plan. Donations can be sent to 1 Starling Close, St Peter's, Worcester, WR5 3RS.
