MORE than 50 hospital staff from across the county have been awarded for their long service at a special ceremony.
The long service award ceremony on Monday took place at Charles Hastings Education Centre at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and recognised staff who have completed 25 years or more with Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust or its previous organisations. Trust chairman Michael O'Riordan said: "This is the fourth award ceremony recognising the loyalty and dedication of our longest serving members of staff who have played important roles in healthcare in the NHS locally. We wanted to thank them for their commitment and show our appreciation of their contribution to patient care in Worcestershire. Everyone plays a part whether as a clinician, nurse, porter, clinic receptionist, medical records clerk or housekeeper. We want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the long service given in some cases over 40 years." Picture by Simon Rogers. 20033301
