NEWTOWN Sports Juniors Under 15s embarked on an end-of-season tour to Holland and Belgium.
They contested a highly successful European tournament at first-class venues in glorious weather.
Seven matches over two days was an exhausting schedule but Newtown played attractive flowing football, combined with true grit and a touch of English steel.
The continental teams just could not match it and the Malvern side won their first three games 5-0, 6-0 and 6-0.
In a harder day two, three further victories booked a final place but, after only five minutes' rest, they lost to a team from Newcastle.
The squad was Alex Webley, Josh Edge, Ricky Feddon, Ash Heron, Joe Hale, Joe Bament, Sam Daly, Tom Davies, John Edwards, Dan Hunt, Will Lloyd, Matt Beckett, Harry Blood and Stevie Nolan.
