THE English Symphony Orchestra's renaissance concert in Worcester Cathedral has been hailed as a resounding success.
The ESO Chamber Orchestra lifted the roof of the city's landmark with a special concert onFriday, April 20.
People filled the cathedral nave to listen to a programme which included Handel's Zadok the Priest, Elgar's Chanson de Matin and Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending.
The concert was conducted by the internationally renowned Vernon Handley and directed by the passionate ESO supporter Michael Bochmann.
Peter Sheeran, spokesman for the orchestra said: "My overwhelming perception was of the joy both in the audience and among the musicians that the orchestra has survived."
