THIS is your chance to get in pole position and lead thousands of women in this year's Race for Life in Worcester.
The Worcester News has teamed up with organisers of the annual event to offer our readers the chance to wear the number one and two vests on the day.
This year's event, which will raise money for Cancer Research UK, will take place at Worcester Racecourse on Sunday, June 10.
The event, which starts at 11am, is expected to attract 5,500 entries and raise about £380,000.
So far, 4,504 women of all abilities and ages have registered to run, jog or walk the course to help more people survive cancer.
Richard Brown, national events executive, said it would be prestigious to run with the number one and two vests.
He said: "Everybody knows the special occasion that is Race For Life and being able to wear the number one and two vests would make it that much more memorable.
"As ever in Worcester, it will be a great occasion starting off at Pitchcroft and going through the city centre. There are still some spaces available and I recommend to anyone who fills them that they enter the competition."
He said anybody who has already registered for the race could also still enter the competition.
All you need to do is write to us and let us know why you are taking part in the event. Entries should be no longer than 250 words and include your name, address and telephone number.
Please send all entries to Sarah Bevan, Worcester News, Hylton Road, Worcester, WR2 5JX.
Competitors must be able to take part in the event on Sunday, June 10, and agree to be involved in publicity for the event. The closing date for applications is Wednesday, May 23.
About 2.7 million women across the UK have taken part in Race for Life ever since it began in 1994, raising more than £140 million to fund scientists, doctors and nurses who are working to help beat cancer.
