PUPILS and staff gathered for the final snap of a historic Worcester school before it merges with a neighbouring girls' school.
It took more than an hour for the 717 girls and boys, plus 69 staff, at Worcester's Royal Grammar School to get into position on the terraced staging before their last school photograph could be taken.
Headteacher Andy Rattue said: "We were absolutely determined to have this photograph taken today as it is the last opportunity we will have to get a whole school shot.
"We have full school photographs dating back to the beginning of the last century and this historic shot will produce a fantastic finale."
RGS Worcester merges with The Alice Ottley School from September to form a combined flagship school of 950 pupils.
Mr Rattue said: "Pupils will benefit from one, enlarged site utilising all the buildings on a united site in excess of 20 acres. Planned and new facilities will be introduced to provide one of the best educational facilities in the county."
