A FORMER pupil of a Malvern primary school, where four generations of his family were educated, is organising a second reunion.

Malcolm Fish, aged 68 and a retired Malvern postman of Highfield Close, is trying to track down as many ex-pupils from Malvern Link CE Primary School as possible.

The event is being held on Saturday, May 19, for pupils from before, during and after the Second World War, right up to 1966.

Mr Fish, who also helped to organise the first reunion three years ago, went to Malvern Link primary between 1943 and 1953.

"My mother went to school there, my brother and I went, my children went there and my grandchildren did too.

"The first reunion was a great success so we wanted to do another. We had not seen some of the people who went to the school for years, so we thought it would be nice to get in touch. So many came that we wanted to do it again.

"We had about 120 come along last time and we are well on the way to that number again. We want to fill the church if possible."

The reunion will start at 2.30pm at the school in Cromwell Road, when former pupils will be able to look around the school buildings and meet their old friends. This will be followed at 4pm by a service in St Matthias Church.

The visitors will then return to the school for tea and a presentation and entertainment laid on by present day pupils.

The day ends with a gathering at the Civil Service Social Club in Pickersleigh Road with music, dancing and a barbecue.

Anyone who would like to go should call Mr Fish on 01684 564233 or e-mail him on smrjh@tiscali.co.uk. Tickets cost £5.
