AN Evesham university student is one of four making a special trip to Africa and taking funds to improve the quality of education.
Lisa Miles, aged 22, and her three friends from Nottingham University have volunteered to work in a primary school in Kampala, Uganda, where schools are seriously overcrowded.
They are appealing for sponsors to help raise money which they can take with them.
Lisa, a former Evesham High School student, said: "The school we are going to work in does not have a great amount of funds to buy books, paper and other equipment for the large amount of pupils.
"We are hoping to raise some money to take to the school in the hope that it may be able to purchase some valuable educational resources."
The students are leaving for Africa on Wednesday, June 6, and have opened a bank account for donations. To help, contact Lisa on N002 1775@ntu.ac.uk
