THE multi-instrumentalist Phil Beer is playing in Worcester next week.
One half of the popular acoustic duo Show of Hands, Beer's musical talent is well documented and has been utilised by countless artists over the years - notably by the Rolling Stones, Mike Oldfield and Steve Harley.
His outings with the Phil Beer Band have become more and more popular over the years and the band now pack out venues on an annual basis.
Their unique blend of "folk and roll" was once described as being "where Steve Earle and Richard Thompson collide".
