A FUN day is to take place in Worcester next month as part of the celebrations for National Volunteer Week.
The event will be held at the Guildhall, High Street, Worcester, on Friday, June 1, from 10am until 2pm.
The aim of the day, which is organised by the Worcester Volunteer Centre, is to promote volunteering and recruit volunteers.
Sally Ellison, chief officer at the centre, said staff and volunteers hoped that by organising a number of activities for all ages, people would be encouraged to look at options available for volunteering.
"By linking our fun day into National Volunteers Week, we have the opportunity to maximise the effect and hopefully provide more people with information about volunteering," she said.
"The aim of the week is to recruit, recognise and reward and we are keen to show that all these elements are part of our everyday activity."
There will be representatives from a number of local organisations available at the event to answer questions and provide information.
There will also be the opportunity to see photos of a number of different activities undertaken by volunteers of all ages. There will also be refreshments available.
