AWARDS For All (A4A) is coming to Bromyard on Wednesday, May 16, to encourage local groups to apply for funding for their projects.
They can apply for a grant if they are a not-for-profit group or are a parish or town council, school or health body.
There are awards available of between £300 and £10,000 to fund a specific project or activity and groups can receive up to £10,000 from Awards for All in any two-year period.
Examples of the type of projects they fund are: l Improving a village hall.
l Creating a community wildlife garden.
l An exhibition and trail walk featuring buildings of local historical interest.
l A rural community crèche.
Local groups given money include Much Cowarne Parish Council, Burley Gate Village Hall management committee, Brampton Bryan Women's Institute and Ross-on-Wye Cricket Club.
The event, organised by Herefordshire Voluntary Action, will involve presentations on Awards For All grants.
Other organisations attending include the Voluntary Sector Assembly, Local Network Fund and Herefordshire Volunteer Centre. The event is at the Bromyard Centre from noon until 2pm. To book, call Clare O'Grady on 01432 343932.
