PEOPLE planning on holding public firework or bonfire displays are being asked to let the fire service know about their event.
Station commander Alan Haley from HWFRS’s community risk department said: “Organised public displays are by far the safest way to enjoy Bonfire Night and so we are encouraging people to head along to one of these events with their families and friends rather than lighting fireworks themselves at home.”
Anyone holding an organised bonfire or firework display can add their event to the list by calling HWFRS on 0800 032 1155 or emailing hfsc@hwfire.org,uk.
