ALMOST 100 signatures have been added to a petition calling for the speed limit on a stretch of the A449 to be lowered since it went online.
Last month the Worcester News revealed Jim Turner, head of King's Hawford School between Ombersley and Claines, had posted a petition on the Downing Street website calling for the speed limit on this stretch of the A449 to be cut from 70mph to 50mph. Mr Turner had already collected 2,000 names on a paper petition.
He will hand the petitions to the Highways Agency, which is responsible for the road, and to Worcestershire County Council, which takes over responsibility on July 1.
