MUSIC loving tots and toddlers are relying on generous villagers to help them raise money for some musical equipment by holding a nearly new sale.
Staff from the Eckington Babies and Toddlers group are hoping the sale, due to be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 12, at Eckington Village Hall, will raise enough money to buy equipment for use in melody and movement sessions.
They have appealed for people to donate items such as children's clothes, books, toys and maternity clothes to sell during the event.
The group's chairman Sarah Powell said: "Both babies and toddlers love music.
"We aim to provide melody and movement sessions within the group on a regular basis but we lack the equipment, hence the sale."
She said: "Without fund-raising events like these we would not be able to continue running the group."
The group meets every Tuesday morning at 10am in Eckington village hall and runs fun and creative activities for the children while offering support for parent or carers.
