YOUNG tennis players from across the county arrived at a Worcestershire school for a three-day tournament.
More than 90 entrants had the use of Pershore High's new outdoor court and three indoor courts for the first time, doubling the previous capacity.
This meant that for the first time, players could enter doubles tournaments.
Laura Eales, of Cirencester, finished as winner.
With many of the Pershore juniors away playing in other higher-ranking tournaments it was down to Andrew Clark to uphold the town's pride, managing to win in the boys' under 12 Consolation singles.
The pick of the finals was a close fought affair in the boys' U-18 singles, with Tom Rees from Droitwich winning in three sets against Pershore College Academy player John Chidlow.
