PUPILS went on an adventure of discovery in a Worcestershire forest.
As part of their geography field work studies, pupils from the St Mary's Convent School in Mount Battenhall spent the day in the Wyre Forest Discovery Centre education unit.
The organiser, teacher Andy Howe, was worried the wet weather the previous night would make it a very damp visit, but the rain held off and everyone had fun.
Mr Howe said: "The first activity was a presentation in the resources centre, followed by a guided walk around the forest.
"The girls learned about the background to forestry in the area and the issues and management strategies used by the Forestry Commission in the Wyre Forest."
The year 8 pupils also took part in an orienteering exercise which demonstrated their map-reading and navigational skills and will also be able information and ideas gathered on their visit for their mini project on world forests and issues.
