THE society's spring show on Saturday, March 31, was staged in the village hall and once again succeeded in providing a fine display of flowers and shrubs in peak condition, thanks to the hard work and care of the exhibitors. Awards were made as follows: Albert and Amy Hughes Salver - Colin Somerfield.
Dolly Wilson Challenge Cup - David Rea.
President's Prize - Steve Tullet.
Wychbold Flower Club Cup - Sue Pugh.
First in Domestic Class - Pat Tonks.
Peter Walker Cup, Children's Classes - Samuel Peacey.
Class 7 Daffodils (Webbs Cup) - Sue Pugh.
Class 7 Daffodils (Webbs Voucher) - Sue Pugh.
Joyce Harrison Cup (best Handicraft) - Evelyn Phillips.
The photographic section was well supported, as were the domestic, handicraft and children's sections. And, as usual a generous raffle conducted by David Rea concluded another good day in the horticultural society's year.
