CLASSICISTS from around the UK descended on a Malvern school at the weekend for a European Latin competition.
The European Cicero Com-petition was held at Malvern St James on Saturday, with sixth form classicists from throughout Europe competing in simultaneous events in France and Germany.
Anne Dicks, head of classics at the school, said: "By using the latest in video-conferencing technology we are able to illustrate how a dead' language is still relevant in today's world.
"We will link to students in Paris and Berlin, celebrating the challenges of studying our shared classical roots."
