THE children of a Tibberton School donned their Sunday best to watch two of their classmates get married- but the ceremony was only for educational purposes.
The year one and two classes at Tibberton C of E First School, near Droitwich, have learnt all about Christian weddings and put their knowledge to practice by hosting their own marriage ceremony.
The year one students made up the wedding party including best-man, father of the bride, bridesmaids and more, while the second year pupils took on roles such as florists, master of ceremonies, catering and other roles, all of which made for a smooth wedding.
They wrote the vows, prayers and even chose the music for the event too.
Reverend David Morris conducted the service and 'married' the bride and groom.
A spokeswoman for the school said: "It was a great event and it was wonderful to see the students work so well together.
"It's important for the children to do activities like this, as it really puts their knowledge to the test and allows them to really learn the subject."
The second year pupils also took on the responsibility of sending wedding invites, and invited children from Hindlip C of E First School, which is its sister school.
Before the wedding started there was a wedding breakfast, and even a disco for the reception after the event too.
