DOZENS of motorcycle and scooter riders formed a cavalcade of Suzuki fans supporting Acorns Children's Hospice in Worcester and Birmingham.

Support for the Suzuki Owners' Run has mushroomed since riders completed their first run to visit children at the Worcester and Selly Oak hospices last year, after hearing of cash problems that prompted bed closures.

They travelled on Sunday to the hospices at Worcester and Selly Oak, Birmingham, where seven-year-old Sabrina Carroll, sister of seven-month-old Acorns' child Rio Carroll, drew the winners of a raffle to raise funds for caring for life-limited children.

Her mum Charlene said: "She was so excited to meet the riders."

Acorns youngster Jamie Warren also met the riders, and tried on Great Barr rider Paul Swingler's crash helmet. Adrian Jones, organiser, said: "It's a day for the children, who love seeing the bikes, and we get a lot of pleasure from it.

"Bikes of all sizes joined us, including scooters. It's our way of publicising Acorns and the great work they do."

They collected 90 prizes for a series of Acorns raffles, including a £120 car valet, watches, and a £60 package to restore scratches on bikes.
