TWO youths threw boulders at a community centre in Kidderminster while elderly people were playing cards.
The attack caused £250 damage to Franche Community Centre in Wilton Avenue, and the card players were lucky to escape injury, police say.
A small boulder was thrown through the door to the centre at about 9.30pm on Tuesday, May 1. When the people inside went to investigate, a second larger boulder was thrown through another glass panel narrowly missing them.
A police spokeswoman said: "This was an exceptionally irresponsible and dangerous thing to do, and the people inside were very lucky not to have been injured."
A window was also smashed at Franche Community Primary School, Chestnut Grove, causing about £150 damage, at 10pm the same night.
