WE have now completed our first production, The Sleeping Beauty, following the fire last summer.
As readers may remember, an arson attack in July destroyed all the scenery and properties, curtains, scripts and many other items. The only thing left among the ashes was a witch's cauldron - which we used in the production. Perhaps this is a good omen - phoenix has risen from the ashes.
All the members were determined not to let the fire destroy 48 years of hard work. We did, of course, need lots of practical assistance from the good people of Ombersley - particularly lending us somewhere to make new scenery and somewhere to store costumes. We are extremely grateful for this help and for the generous financial donations.
