OLDBURY Park Tigers Under 12s' 3-0 defeat at Callowbrook Swifts left them playing second fiddle in the Mercian Junior Festival League title race.
Malvern Town Wanderers Juniors are now seven points ahead after Oldbury suffered their first defeat of the season.
Oldbury struggled to get their passing game going and third-placed Swifts closed them down quickly.
Tigers' defence held firm until half-time with Ryan Griffin and 'keeper Ross Williams putting in good performances.

Worcester Raiders lost 4-1 to Droitwich Spa Saints in a midweek clash after giving their opponents too much time and space in the first-half.
Raiders' goalkeeper Thomas Handley pulled off great saves and an offside decision went against them as they trailed 3-0 at the interval.
The hosts improved in the second period with fine passing and Aaron Roberts was lively up front.
Droitwich added a fourth goal on the counter-attack but Joe Fowles smashed home a late penalty for a consolation.
Joe Lee was man-of-the-match for a battling display.
UNDER NINES: Warndon Villages Hawks gained a 1-0 win over Oldbury Park Tigers White.
UNDER 10s: In a Division Two double header, Warndon Villages Vipers lost 2-0 to Welland Juniors. But Vipers beat them 1-0 in the second game with Elliot Morris finishing off a flowing move.
UNDER 11s: Warndon Villages Wolves drew 2-2 with higher-placed Droitwich Aztecs to earn a good point.
UNDER 15s: Suffolk Rangers had only 10 men in a vital game at top-of-the-table Malvern Town Wanderers but drew 3-3.
A cracking goal from Malvern gave them an early lead before Danny Edwards went close to an equaliser.
Brad Birch levelled from Jamie Insall's superb pass and Malvern were denied by goalkeeper Ryan Malloy.
However, the hosts scored again at the start of the second period only to be pegged back by Birch after a fine run.
Malvern regained the lead but Insall ran in from the wing for the final equaliser from Martin Newman's pass.
Warndon Villages Wildcats Girls posted their best win of the season, beating previously undefeated FC Phoenix 1-0.
UNDER 16s: Hard-working Lyppard Rangers Speedy outclassed Droitwich Spa Phoenix with a 5-1 victory.
Speedy striker Josh Homans opened the scoring with a typical finish. Homans then played in Ben Harbourne who chipped the 'keeper.
Disorganised Droitwich deflected in a Steve Jeffries' effort before the interval.
Speedy upped the tempo in the second-half with Joe McGorman running the full length of the field to fire home.
Homans completed the rout but Phoenix did grab a consolation five minutes from time.
Speedy man-of-the-match was midfielder Ash Saunders.
