SUNNY Spain came to Callow End School for a day recently.
Youngsters in Reception and Year 1 at the school spent a day finding out about Spain, including learning Spanish phrases and tasting Spanish food including mussels, prawns, olives, Spanish cheese, chorizo, smoked ham and different breads.
After trying out some Spanish dances, the day finished with hot chocolate and churros to dip in.
The children all went home with a Spanish flag they had coloured in and a booklet of Spanish number names to remember their day by.
