AN orchestral Eucharist at Hereford Cathedral will mark the completion of restoration works.
The cathedral choir will sing Haydn's Mass setting Theresienmesse on Sunday, May 6, to celebrate the completion of the central tower.
It will be followed by drinks in the garden of the Bishop's Palace. The Very Revd Michael Tavinor, Dean of Hereford Cathedral, said: "We are delighted that this celebration will be marked by this wonderful piece of music."
The completion of the tower marks the end of a three-year project, which has cost about £600,000.
Those attending the 10.30am service will be able to enjoy the spectacular views from the top of the tower with a special opening ceremony.
The site will also be open the previous day and on Bank Holiday Monday.
