A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after she and a man fell between a train and the platform on the Severn Valley Railway.
The woman was trapped in an 18 inch gap at the side of the train for more than an hour and a half and sustained a severe injury to her left leg.
It is believed she slipped while the train was moving slowly.
Ambulance staff, a doctor and the County Air Ambulance were called to the station at Hampton Loade, Shropshire, at 4.30pm on Sunday, April 29.
A second Air Ambulance flew additional drugs to the doctor on scene and the woman was given pain relief before being flown to Selly Oak Hospital trauma unit.
The man was treated for fairly minor injuries and was taken to a hospital in Telford.
