A MAN was kicked on the ground after he was attacked by three men while he walked across Stourport-on-Severn bridge.

One attacker threw a punch, but the victim, in his early 20s, managed to block it and pulled the offender to the ground. However, another offender kicked the man from behind causing him to fall to the floor.

The original attacker then kicked the victim twice more before the men ran off after a passing car sounded its horn.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the assault, which happened between 10.30pm and 10.45pm last Saturday, April 21.

The first attacker is described as black, in his late teens to early 20s, about 5ft 8ins tall, and of stocky build. He had wavy dark hair about an inch or two in length. He was wearing navy blue or black jeans, a white T-shirt and a jacket which had grey patches and black sleeves.

The second man was black, in his late teens to early 20s, about 5ft 7ins tall, of skinny build, and wearing a grey hooded top, light blue jeans and black trainers.

The third man was white and similar in size to the second man.

All three men had Birmingham accents.

PC Darren Broom, of Stourport police, said: "We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about who these men were.

"We would also like to speak to the driver of the vehicle which sounded its horn as he might have seen what occurred."
