THE class of '86 at Droitwich Spa High School are being called for drinks, music and a chance to reminisce at their first reunion in 21 years.

The gathering, for all those who finished their O-levels in 1984 or A-levels in 1986, will be held on May 12, from 7pm at Salwarpe Village Hall, Salwarpe, near Droitwich.

Organiser Denise Roberts, aged 39, is hoping to get all 300 students along, as well as any teachers who taught them.

Ms Roberts, whose maiden name is Garfield, has already persuaded Alan Rogers to fly in from Ireland and Alison Waring from Mexico. She is negotiating with two more ex-students to come from America and Dubai. Ms Roberts has lost touch with many fellow students, including David Battin, Helen Lymer and Helen Cresswell, who she hopes will respond to this appeal.

She said: "I know some people are not keen on school reunions, but we just want to have a good time, not compare notes." She said: "We're all getting old so we should get together now and reminisce while we've still got a memory."

Tickets cost £10 and are selling fast.
