Soldiers Wedding at St Matthias Church, Malvern Link of Private Penny of Devonshire and Miss Hettie Cole of Leigh, near Malvern. The bride wore a grey cashmere dress trimmed with grey satin and cream net and wore a hat to match. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and sweet peas. The wedding was quiet, a short reception being held at the bride's sister's home; and later the happy couple left for Birmingham. A number of handsome and useful presents were received.
