YOUNGSTERS are being encouraged to get stuck into a good book at storytime sessions for the under-fives.
Colwall Library, near Malvern, is restarting the scheme next month - and, as an added incentive for youngsters to do more reading, lots of goodies will be given away by a life-size bear, courtesy of the Bookstart Book Crawl initiative.
A library spokesman said: "Visiting the library is fun and there are lots of fantastic children's books to enjoy.
"Storytime is a great way to meet other parents with young children, enjoy a lively and interactive book reading and encourage babies and young children to develop a life-long love of books and libraries.
"With the lush Walwyn Meadow and safe play area right next to the library, why not make an afternoon of it, catch the train and bring a picnic lunch before settling down with a good book? "
The free sessions will take place every Friday from 2.15pm until 2.45pm at the library, with the launch on Friday, May 4.
